Your choice

Google Analytics loads only after you choose Allow analytics. Decline analytics prevents this integration from loading. You can change your choice below or through Privacy choices on any page. Browser Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signals keep this analytics integration off.

What is measured

After consent, Google Analytics receives page views, browser/device and technical visit information, a simplified referring-site address, and recognized campaign tags. We also measure clicks to Amazon or Etsy and, on the books site, visits to recognized parent-guide sections. Google may process technical information such as an IP address when receiving requests. Analytics identifiers distinguish browsers, not verified individual people.

Our tracking code does not intentionally send names, email addresses, form contents, children's information, unknown URL query parameters, or free-text answers. We do not enable advertising personalization, remarketing, Google signals, or session recordings in this integration. The websites and books are promoted to adult parents, caregivers, educators and buyers; please do not send children's personal information.

Storage and retention

Your allow/decline preference is stored locally in your browser. If allowed, the Google tag uses first-party analytics cookies with an expiry configured up to 90 days and no renewal on each page load. Changing your choice to decline disables future tracking by this integration and removes its accessible analytics cookies; it does not erase data previously received by Google. Different browsers and the two website hostnames can have different saved choices.

Limits and other services

Counts begin after installation and consent. Ad blockers, privacy choices and processing delays can reduce measured visits. A retailer-link click is not proof of a purchase, and these tags do not give us Amazon or Etsy checkout data. Google Search Console separately reports available Google Search impressions and clicks; it is not a visitor counter. Existing email links, external retailers and other services have their own practices.
